Hi there,
my name is Brian; I'm new to the forum.

I was wondering if someone could answer a quick question I have? Probably quite naive question but, here goes...

Do you believe that Propellerhead's Reason is of a good enough quality for production music and commercial release as a backing track? Are the samples and the samplers good enough for orchestral pieces, or does the 16 bit resolution inherently limit its application to non professional recordings?

Thanks for your time and knowledge.

Not at all

16 bit is fine. We used to work with 16 bit all the time for professional use before 24 bit was available.

Just make sure you work with reasonably high levels of analogue conversion and processing.

Ultimately it's the music that counts!

Hi Pete,
thanks for your reply. Big relief as it's what I'm used to working with.

Thanks again.

Best Regards,
