I'm now facing a most important choice of my life and i really need some advice from everybody. Its about my future job.First of all i'd like to say that i have big passion for music. The rhythm, the melody,... all of it always give me strong feeling that i couldn't even describe.
I dont know if im good in composing or not, but i really can...feel the beat, creating melodies in my mind, sometimes even create a melody which contains 3-4 instrument plays just like a short symphony in my mind,,,,, I also have a good voice (according to all my friends) and the ability to sing right, sing with feeling, also know if others (or myself) sing right or wrong,... So if i choose to study in musical universities, which course should i take(composer or music performance) .I really want to know how to compose but i fear that i wont be able to know how to get to know more about singing and performance. And the other side, if i choose to study about singing, would i be able to compose my own song?....
And the other things, if i finish the course, will i be able to earn a living (with the bachelor of performance or composing)? I dont need to be rich, famous and stuff as long as i can live with music for all my life. But i also have to consider again if i'll be able to take care of my (future) family? ...
I really need all kind of advice that everybody could give me, including how to know if im good in music, advice bout my future finance,oppoturnity,........ All kind. Im really appreciate, thanks everyone.(really sorry if you found my Eng kinda lame or hard to understand or full of mistake, im currently working on it +____+)

Well, first of all it's great that you have this ability to visualise melodies and even arrangements. When I taught at a University, there was just a music degree. It included performance and composing, so you mix and match the different modules to suit your interests and abilities.

But a music degree will not help you become professional (except maybe teaching). What you learn is what counts, not the degree. It's arguable that you can learn as much/more from just going out there: jam sessions, join a band, read lots of books, some private lessons.
